The authors were quantified the effective thermal capacity of the PCM interior material from the room temperature drop, using a lumped constant system. As the experimental results, the effective thermal capacity of the PCM interior material at the solid-liquid phase region be about five times compared to PB12 (mm) were revealed. On the other hand, the house that was applied the direct gain system with PCM interior material were constructed in Sapporo. From the measurement results at this housing in winter, the author confirm that the room temperature can be kept near 20℃, even when using a wood stove. At the same time, the relative humidity can be maintained above 40%.

This report shows the basic performance of the heat storage aluminum-blade filled with gelled n-paraffin (PCM window shade). The amount of the thermal storage was 114 (kJ/m) when filled with n-icosane. In addition, the PCM blind was installed in a double skin facade of the 1/3 office model, the temperature of the inner glass surface is decreased about 3℃. As a result of measuring the solar radiation transmission rate in the room installed external window shade, the author confirmed that the cooling load can be reduced about 12% by PCM window shade.

This paper shows about the thermal and optical property of the double glazing filled with the gelled n-paraffin. When the experiment was carried out using a test piece of 12mm in thickness, the light transmission rate of gelled PCM was about 0.7(-) in the liquid phase. Also the author installed the gelled PCM that was packed in a bag of aluminum to the test housing, and confirmed that the heating load is reduced by about 22% compared with the usual high-insulated and airtight housing in Hokkaido.

In order to provide an architectural design that is suitable for creative activities in the planning and conceptual stage, the author introduced a server-client system to the heating load calculation program of the existing stand-alone. Annual heating load was calculated taking into account the influence of the thermal capacity of the room on the effective utilization rate of solar heat acquisition. This system enabled the interactive input and output from mobile devices, and I believe that makes possible the collaboration work between designers, engineers, and clients.
